Real, virtual and hybrid - this is the motto under which SENSOR + TEST 2021 will be held from May 4 to 6, 2021. Participants from all over the world are invited to the dialogue on innovation. Due to the continuing and critical health risk situation with the Covid-19 pandemic and additional uncertainties regarding the authorization of major events, the organizer and the exhibitors committee together with the board of directors of the 'AMA decided to run the show completely as a digital event. The SENSOR + TEST 2021 thus enables exhibitors and visitors to communicate and exchange ideas on the latest developments and technical advances in detection, measurement and test technology via modern information channels.

Just like in 2020, the world's most important industrial fair for sensor and measurement technology will be held again this year in digital. Since in recent months the exchange of information on different online channels has worked very well and has also been well accepted, the SENSOR + TEST from May 4 to 6, 2021 will have significantly expanded the digital options. This will make it a digital event with great benefit for visitors and exhibitors.

“As we cannot say whether a fair the size of SENSOR + TEST will be allowed in the exhibition halls of Nuremberg, the organizer and the exhibitors' committee have agreed in close exchange with the executive board of the AMA Association. for sensors and Measurement on a purely virtual event. So we can provide early planning certainty for everyone involved, ”said Christoph Kleye, Exhibitor Committee Chairman and Director of SonoQ.

If the organizer, exhibitors and visitors would have preferred a hybrid event, there are certainly good opportunities available to reach customers and partners for all possible tasks. “Our typically small and medium-sized businesses will also be showcasing exceptional technologies to an interested audience this year,” added Christoph Kleye.

Three days of pure technology

During the three days of the fair, visitors can expect a plethora of exciting topics covering the full spectrum of measurement technology. In many parallel expert forums, interested parties can get information on various technologies and trends. After live discussions or video presentations, there will be plenty of opportunities for direct exchange and dialogue with the experts. And if you missed a thematic session, you can simply call it back anytime later.

In these forums of graduate experts, exhibitors will present their novelties and provide information during sessions of different durations. These sessions can be in-depth know-how or short and to the point - it's up to the visitors to decide. The special topic Sensor and measurement technology for condition monitoring will also be dealt with appropriately.

Science will also be done digitally

The WSIS 2021 Sensor and Measurement Science international conference (May 3-6, 2021), scheduled alongside SENSOR + TEST, will focus on virtual space. For four days, national and international participants from research, science and industry will be linked in a network of four parallel sessions. The WSIS provides a platform for the exchange of the latest research results. Both providers and users will get relevant search results for the future. “I am confident that this digital conference training will attract even more experts from all over the world to participate in this premier event - especially since many would not be able to make it to Nuremberg anyway. The same goes for expert forums which will also have a larger audience, ”said Holger Bödeker, the organizer.

SENSOR + TEST as a market of possibilities

The SENSOR + TEST 2021 appears to be once again the most important platform for sensor and measurement technology, on many business planning calendars. “With three intensive days of expert forums, chat rooms and video sessions, as well as year-round digital information offering via newsletters, websites and social media, exhibitors and visitors establish a market of possibilities that requires a regular exchange of technological ideas. Added Holger Bödeker, who is already online at the event. “True to SENSOR + TEST, startups and small businesses will find it easy to integrate, talk to their customers and make new contacts.”

The main digital components, which will play a major role in the new approach to trade fairs, will already take place this year on a grand scale. Holger Bödeker is convinced, "that the SENSOR + TEST of the future will have a huge digital part alongside the presence event - and we will start with that right this year."
